🤩📢We’re proud to share that for the eighth year running, we have been recognized for our leadership in corporate transparency and performance on climate change, securing a place on the #CDPAList, compiled by global environmental non-profit CDP. 🌍 💚This achievement is testament to our continued commitment to support a clean, fair, and affordable energy future. 📃Last year, we launched our refreshed Responsible Business Charter, setting out our commitments across the environment, our people, and communities. As part of the 🔄 refresh: 🟢 We updated our near-term emissions reduction targets, aligning to a 1.5°C pathway and validated by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). 🟢 We’re measuring ✈️ air emissions rather than air miles to reflect recognised best practice. 🟢 We’ve aligned our green investment to our five-year outlook issued in November 2022. We’re delighted to be recognised on CDP’s list which represents the gold standard of environmental reporting around the world. 🥇 💪 We remain steadfast in our commitment to being a responsible business, focussing on our three core pillars: our environment, our customers and communities, and our people.

It has been an exciting week in Houston as we joined industry partners, policymakers and thought leaders for CERAWeek 2024. Winding down an active few days, John Pettigrew joined a main stage panel talking about The (Big) Grid of the Future with Southern Company’s Chris Womack and Claudio Facchin from Hitachi Energy. He emphasized our work to deliver the infrastructure required to support economywide electrification and the need for anticipatory investment, permitting reform, and direct community benefits to achieve global clean energy and climate goals. In the US, recent federal government actions to support clean energy, including the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act, have helped position the energy sector at the state level for even faster growth. We’re committed to driving innovation and delivering for our customers by: ⚡️Planning and investing in infrastructure with key upgrade plans for both Massachusetts and New York to ensure the grid can meet future growth in electricity demand and withstand the impacts of a changing climate. 🔋Forecasting future needs, like we’re accomplishing with our DOE-supported study effort to build a Northeast Freight Corridors Charging Plan for electric truck charging across major highways and corridors over a combined 3,700 miles spanning New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New England. 👷♀️Spurring economic growth with strategies to create thousands of jobs, expand workforce development programs across our regions, and generate billions in economic benefits to our communities.

We hosted the Energy Security and Net Zero Committee at our #NemoLink interconnector site – which recently celebrated its 5th anniversary. ⚡️ 🎂 Thank you to Mark Garnier OBE MP, Sir Mark Hendrick MP, Mark Pawsey MP, Mick Whitley MP and staff – it was great to discuss the future of energy collaboration between the UK and Belgium and the history of #NemoLink - which has saved 1.4m tonnes of carbon emissions since 2019 and has the capacity to power 1.7m UK homes. 🏡
