Aidan Lawlor

General Manager – APAC

Based in Brisbane, Australia, Aidan Lawlor leads Smart Wires’ business development and operations in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

Aidan has more than 20 years of experience in the global energy industry, working in both Australia and Europe in senior management, project delivery and stakeholder engagement roles.

Prior to joining Smart Wires in 2020, Aidan was Head of Customers and Stakeholders for Ireland’s national transmission system operator, EirGrid; and prior to that EirGrid’s Head of Program Delivery.

In Australia, he worked with Queensland’s transmission network service provider, Powerlink, for almost 10 years, where he held senior management and project delivery roles.

Aidan holds a Bachelor of Engineering and a Diploma in Project Management from Trinity College, Dublin.
