Alexandra Pressman serves as Smart Wires’ General Counsel. Previously, Alexandra was an attorney at Fenwick & West, where she represented high-growth technology and life science companies in venture capital financings, mergers & acquisitions, and public offerings. Prior to Fenwick, Alexandra served the Obama administration as a Senior Program Manager in the White House Council on Environmental Quality, where she led the team developing federal greenhouse gas accounting and reporting requirements. Before joining the White House, Alexandra worked in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, where she managed a multi-million dollar budget for international collaborations on geothermal technology and worked with leaders in government and industry from the US, Iceland, Australia, and Switzerland to develop and launch the International Partnership on Geothermal Technology. While at DOE, Alexandra was also awarded a “Special Service” award for strategic planning and analysis.
Alexandra holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from Connecticut College, and a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law (Boalt Hall).
