An application of modular FACTS devices to relieve transmission constraints and accelerate wind farm connections and firm access                                      

This paper explains how modular power flow control can be used to quickly create additional capacity in ways not previously deemed cost effective or possible. This technology can alleviate grid constraints that limit renewable generation on the transmission and distribution grids.
