Smart Wires Analytics team provides a range of advisory services to our customers around the world.

Our team includes nearly two dozen power system experts who have used advanced software and modeling to develop solutions for more than 100 power systems across Europe, Australia, North America and South America. This team is aided by six strategic advisors with over 160 years of power system planning and operational experience.

We provide both remote and on-site services, with the option to embed an expert in your team for a period of time. Our experts are fluent in a dozen languages and located in ten time zones around the world, allowing us to effectively connect and communicate based on your needs.

A large renewable developer faced challenging costs and timelines for one of their projects in the United States. Compared to the traditional network upgrade initially proposed, our solution could be delivered three years faster and reduce interconnection costs by 80%.

Resolve current or potential problems on the transmission and distribution systems

A Canadian utility wanted to increase reliable power transfers to neighboring regions and developed a variety of options, ranking them via a MW/$M metric. We developed an array of alternate solutions with MW/$M values which were an order of magnitude better than the original approaches.

Solve grid challenges with SmartValve™ and understand its power system interactions

A European utility questioned the system impacts of multiple SmartValve installations to unlock 100s of MWs of network capacity. We modeled system interactions via detailed time-domain simulations including HIL studies and found no adverse impacts across dozens of operating conditions.
