Development of a generic SSSC model in PowerFactory. Convergence between IT and OT practices

One of many challenges that wind power faces while integrating into the existing network is the inherent decoupling between its development time (e.g., a couple of years) compared to that of traditional transmission solutions which may span into decades Grid Enhancing Technologies, such as Static Synchronous Series Compensators (SSSC), offer the possibility to re-couple the timeframes by unlocking unused spare capacity, however, the availability of such devices within commercial electrical simulators is scarce or even non-existent Moreover, detailed vendor models are specific to the incumbent Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and might not be the best approach during the early necessary assessment stage.
